Re-evaluation of biostrat data for 16 wells in the Western Barents Sea resulted in a significantly different understanding of the age of the regional unconformities, and an updated stratigraphy is available for purchase. The biostratigrapy interpretations have been calibrated with unconformities observed in seismic data, why there is high confidence in the new stratigraphy that has the potential to significantly rewrite the tectonostratigraphic evolution of the region.
